Jeffrey Cox is a religious historian of early modern Ireland. Before pursuing graduate studies he taught history at secondary level in the United States, and was awarded a Fulbright Exchange to Northern Ireland in 2009. Jeffrey undertook both his MA and PhD in early modern history at University College Dublin. His PhD research, which was part-funded by the Irish Research Council, investigated the impact of the Reformation and Counter-Reformation on the process of religious change in County Kildare between 1560 and 1640. His other interests include geo-spatial analysis of historical data and paleography.

He is a co-organiser of the sixth annual Tudor & Stuart Ireland Interdisciplinary Conference , and serves as communications officer on the conference series’ governing committee. Jeffrey is a member of the Irish Association of Professional Historians and the Church of Ireland Historical Society.
